James Georgakas Catch Play Smiling

Coach Georgakas graduated from Ellsworth High School in 2013 where he had one of the most decorated pitching careers in program history. Coach earned multiple 1st Team All-Conference selections and pitched in back to back state tournaments. James is the only pitcher to have a win on the bump in the history of their program.  Coach then went on to play college baseball at D2 Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. After two years I transferred to D3 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After finishing up his college playing career, James played baseball for a summer in Croatia. This opportunity allowed James the ability to travel all around Europe playing the game he grew up loving. Coach Kelsey

Coach Kelsey began her softball career at the age of six and throughout high-school was the starting pitcher for the Pepin, WI Lakers. Her love of the game, diligent off-season practice, and use of positive mental imagery helped led her to several career accolades: All Conference, All District, All Area, All State, MVP, and WFSCA All-Star. Outside of the softball diamond, Kelsey graduated from the Mayo Clinic Nursing Program in 2007, and currently works in the Oncology Department in the Mayo Clinic Health System as a registered nurse. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her family (Husband Matt, three daughters, and their puppy June). Depending on the time of year you will find Kelsey outdoors enjoying activities such as hiking, rock climbing, wake-surfing and downhill skiing. Coach Kelsey's passion for teaching, practical knowledge of mental strategies, and her love of the game organically brought her to coaching softball. Kelsey has particular interest in working on the fundamentals of speed, power, and accuracy initially. Once that pitching foundation has been established, she then branches out into more complex pitches such as change-ups and drop-balls. Coach Kelsey is a dynamic instructor who is excited about the opportunity to prepare the next generation of pitchers technically, mentally, and physically for unparalleled success on and off the mound!

Softball Skills & Drills (Hitting & Pitching)

Coach Carlton

I enjoy giving back to the game that developed me into who I am today. I graduated from Cannon Falls High School as a three-sport athlete and went on to play baseball at the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. I served as team captain for two years and earned three years of all-conference honors, scholar athlete and academic awards, the conference sportsmanship award, and the NCCAA Hank Burbridge Award. I now play for the Cannon Falls Bears of the Minnesota Baseball Association. ? Since 2017, I have organized and coached youth baseball leagues for Cannon Falls and Randolph, as well as led many youth baseball camps. Two of my biggest passions are athletics and working with kids and I am blessed to do both on a daily basis. I teach third grade at Randolph Public Schools and coach football, baseball, and help train athletes in the weight room. ? I look forward to helping athletes reach their potential and make a positive impact.

Coach James Heise

Coach Heise proudly served as a Senior High History and Literature teacher at Lake City Lincoln High School for thirty-one years. During this time, I also dedicated myself to coaching, spending thirty years as an assistant varsity football coach and twenty-three years as an assistant varsity baseball coach. My baseball coaching experience includes serving as head coach for the Freshmen, B-Squad, and Junior Varsity teams, as well as assisting the Varsity team during tournaments and sectional play. From 2017 to 2019, I contributed to the success of the Lake City Legion team and was head coach for my son's Little League teams from 2011 to 2017, competing in both the Zumbro Valley and Metro Leagues. As a coach, my responsibilities were comprehensive. For the Lake City Baseball program, I specialized as the outfield coach but, as the head JV coach, I managed all aspects of practice, covering pitching, infield, and outfield defense. Additionally, I worked extensively with hitters, incorporating various hitting drills and stations to maximize player development. I retired from coaching in 2022 but remain passionate about the game. I am eager to return to coaching, particularly in roles focused on developing specific skills to help young players grow into stronger, more confident baseball players. Coaching has always been a source of joy and fulfillment for me, and I hope to continue giving back to a sport that has enriched my life in countless ways.

TESTIMONIALS

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

While looking for a pitching coach, we were introduced to Coach Ryan Christenson at the recommendation of a mutual friend and his son, who played for Ryan in high school. As part of our introduction and even before we started working with him, he was kind enough to suggest I take some video of my son to share with him help initially analyze his mechanics and note areas we could help him improve. Ryan's approach makes students feel at ease and as a result, our son (as well us as parents) immediately felt comfortable with Ryan, developing a great, working relationship and friendship that has only strengthened over our time with him. Ryan truly cares about his students and is committed to continually helping them improve.

Dave R.

Parent of Athlete

Coach Christenson is one of the best out there. He is always open to giving feedback and doing what he needs to do to help be a better pitcher and learn the game. I have seen a great deal of improvements in consistency with the drill work and individual planning that Coach C puts in place, along with the time spent just talking pitching. Very happy to have him as a coach.

Brad Rindfleisch

Former Collegiate Pitcher

Coach C is one of the best things that?s happened for my son's young baseball career. First and foremost, he has related to him on a personal level and found a teaching technique that gets through to my kid not on just pitching performance, but also fielding and more importantly, how to be a good teammate and leader. Additionally, Coach C thoroughly evaluated and adjusted my son?s throwing mechanics to ensure that his elbow and shoulder are protected and provided exercises to encourage proper muscular development to aid in arm/shoulder stabilization and deceleration. All of this plus the weekly video feedback and Rapsodo data has resulted in increased accuracy, fastball speed and off-speed pitch spin rate. We are very satisfied clients!

Reid J.

Parent of Athlete

Coach C is a very dedicated and intentional coach. His knowledge and passion for the game is top tier, and what he instills in his athletes goes above and beyond the field of play. The results I saw in my performance after working with Coach C for just 2 and a half years were just incredible. He works hard to individualize a plan that works for you. There is no doubt he gives 100% effort into developing his athletes.

James Palmer

Former Professional Pitcher

Ryan began working with our son when he attended a local camp. He has gone on to do several group and individual sessions. The two have developed a relationship unlike any other coach/athlete bond I've seen. Having watched him teach lessons to several others, I feel confident in saying other parents probably feel the same. Ryan takes the time to truly get to know each player, their strengths/weaknesses, how they think/feel about baseball and their performance goals. It's not unusual for him to drive to watch a game on an off day, just to see one of his players in a game situation. We've watched our son make tremendous strides in mechanics and velocity all while strengthening his knowledge and love of this great game.
